A lot of people get so caught up in all the demands and requirements of the law, that they do not realize that it all comes down to love. If you really love someone, you are going to naturally obey the entire law. The reason that God gave the law was to provide specific examples of how people in that time could love Him and love others.
Today, we live in different times and cultures, and so much of those specific examples do not exactly apply to us any longer, but as long as we maintain the goal of loving God and loving others, we will fulfill the law.
One Scripture on Love which shows this is Romans 13:10.
Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
If you truly love someone, you will never do harm to them, either with your words or your actions. You will seek their good above your own. You will desire to serve and honor them, whether or not they serve and honor you. True love does not demand anything from others, or only offer love if love is given in return.
All of the specific commands in the Bible are just examples of ways we can love one another. When we truly love others, we need not worry too much about all the commands of the law, because we will be fulfilling the law naturally.
